I can easily say this is the nicest watch I’ve owned. I debated whether or not to buy it because the case window is made out of mineral, as opposed to the much more scratch resistant (and frankly better) sapphire. But seeing as how this watch is meant to be worn daily and isn’t necessarily a luxury piece- I’m fine with the mineral window. That’s not to say it isn’t elegant, because due to the matte gunmetal color, the silver hour indicators and of course the skeleton inside- this watch is gorgeous. I find myself staring at the gears as they turn the hands, it’s intoxicating. I can’t emphasize enough just how stunning the design of this piece is.
If you want a collector’s item, look elsewhere. But if you want a quality watch that seamlessly blends fashion and function (for an extremely affordable price,) then buy this watch. That’s what I was looking for and I am quite satisfied.

As A big fan of Gshock watch,I have reviewed a number of G-Shock watches,Tough Solar Classic Color Watch is the biggest, and baddest of them all. Let me start with the looks.

It looks like a 5600 series on steroids, and basically that’s what it is.It’s large, but not too large, The display is sharp and crisp, and as I speak I am in a low lit room, with just my pc monitor and I can see the time clearly. If you like the 5600 series, you will love this watch. A+ aesthetically.

The band is comfortable

The band is large and may accommodate just about just about anyone’s wrist. The band is additionally of the highest quality, along with thicker and more cozy than just about any kind of G-Shock I have come across. The double tang clasp is created out a metal which reminds me of the olddie cast metallic toys I had as a kid, so the clasp is strong!!

The buttons are covered in a red plastic, and are a little harder to push like the mudman, but this watch keeps out dust, dirt, and mud, so no big deal. For all you water sports people, this watch is the usual200m, 20 bar water resistance, so no worries in the water. This watch will get noticed by everyone, as it is sleek, and very sporty looking.

Don’t let anyone deter you from the negative display, as they have come a long way as of late, and are readable, except in the lowest of light. If its an issue for you, turn the watches auto illumination on, and you will always see the time!! This watch is a matte black with red writing, and accents, red pushers, and red alpha gel in the display. I’ll talk about alpha gel in a bit.
